1. Tom Brady

The greatest quarterback ever in NFL history, Tom Brady is a fan of Joe Montana and Steve Young. Born in California, Brady evolved by watching the games of these two players and both was his idol.

In an interview with Rodney Harrison in 2018, Tom Brady expressed the crazy obsession he had for these two players.

The greatest achievement of Tom Brady is getting compared to his childhood hero. And even his childhood hero calls Brady the greatest of all time.

 Montana in an interview with ESPN said ”I think Tom has, you know, taken his place on the top up there a long time ago. He’s had a tremendous career and is fun to watch. […] Everybody always contests over that, but I think if you look at what Tom has been able to accomplish in his time that he’s played, I think it puts him up there in the top of the list.”

2. Brett Favre

During an interview with TMZ Sports, Favre said Rodgers is the best player in NFL history. The relationship between these two players eventually developed into a strong friendship.

Rodgers on the Pat McAfee show in 2019 said ”I love Brett, I always had a great appreciation for him we were caught in the middle of a power struggle that unfortunately broke Brett and myself

Brett also specified his favourite wide receivers in the NFL now on Twitter. Favre’s list includes Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson and Ja Marr Chase.

From a very young age, Terrell Owens enjoys watching football because of his idol player Jerry Rice.

Terrell Owens during his speech at Chattanooga, to celebrate his induction, thanked Jerry Rice and calls him the greatest receiver of all time.

The former 49ers teammates Terrell Owens and Jerry Rice have maintained a good relationship and stayed loyal to each other.

On “The Grey Papa show” when Rice was asked to choose between Owens and Randy Moss for the second-best receiver of all time. Jerry Rice quickly replied “Terrell Owens” and said “It was an honour to play with him for so many years and I got to know him. And I Know exactly what he brings to the table. So, it would be Terrell Owens.

The ten-time pro bowler and four-time MVP winner Aaron Rodgers have a role model and it’s Bart Star. These two legends have a lot in common and both were Super Bowl MVPs for the Green Bay Packers.

After his dad’s retirement, Peyton was kind of biased towards quarterbacks. During high school and college, his favourite player was Dan Marino, the Miami Dolphins quarterback.

Peyton has an opportunity to play against Dan Marino in his very first NFL game. Dan Marino was Peyton Manning’s good mentor as well.

During his NFL days, Peyton Manning likes to watch Brett Favre, quarterback for Green Bay Packers. Peyton enjoys the incredible throw of Brett Favre which everyone believes he was not capable of making and then he would make them.

6. Jim Brown 

Playing only for nine seasons, Jim Brown has created many NFL records and is considered one of the greatest fullbacks in NFL history. He is considered the toughest player ever to pay for Cleveland Browns.
Jim Brown in his interview in sports weekly article said that he loves to watch Earl Campbell, the runner back for New Orleans Saints.

Brown also admired John Riggins and considered him one of the greatest NFL players ever played.

7. Ray Lewis

With 17 seasons for Baltimore Ravens, Ray Lewis is the face and heart of Baltimore’s defence. Recently during the talk with WhereistheBuzz TV youtube channel Ray Lewis revealed his favourite quarterback of all time.

Ray Lewis said ”One of my favorites is Michael Vick. Vick was just different, before Vick it was Steve young because they were more different, they’re not just the pocket part but then like my favorite growing up was Joe Montana. These are the guys that I just really fell in love with.

8. Randy Moss

One of the fastest in the NFL Randy Moss is one of the best wide receivers in NFL history.

Moss during the 49ers’ final media availability told Walter Payton, Jerry Rice Barry Sanders and Terrell Owens as his idol.

Randy Moss’s favourite wide receiver is Keenan Allen. It was revealed by Matt Hasselbeck who is an ESPN analyst and works for Randy Moss as well.

9. Tony Gonzalez

The best tight player in NFL history Tony Gonzalez’s favourite player was Anthony Munoz, the greatest lineman in NFL history.

Tony Gonzalez said, “Anthony Munoz was a guy I looked up to. I always looked up to him and wanted to be like him. I was like him for awhile while I was playing and then it’s up to the next guy, like Victor Cruz”.

Growing up watching Rogers play at the Naval base Pensacola, Emmitt Smith was inspired by Roger’s focus and determination for the game and recalls it as an awesome experience. Emmitt Smith further said that Roger is a legendary player.
